Presenting BECOMING JOSEPHINE by Heather Webb

Becoming-Josephine-CoverLast week, the first of us debut novelists blogging at The Debutante Ball flew the coop. Heather Webb is now officially a published novelist. Woohoo! It’s been exciting to watch her. She’s a whirlwind with social media — wow. I could take mega-lessons from her.

In honor of her debut, we each wrote posts about BECOMING JOSEPHINE, the true (though novelized, of course) story of a Creole girl from Martinique who became Empress Josephine, wife of Napoleon Bonaparte. Here’s the post:

What’s in a Rose? How About an Empress?

As we end our week of posts lauding Heather’s BECOMING JOSEPHINE, I couldn’t resist shooting her an email with this question: What are you feeling right now about your launch week?

She replied, “This has been a very emotional week for me. Many happy tears have been shed. The incredible support and love from my community and the overwhelming good reviews have had me awestruck. Beside myself, and so utterly grateful. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”

Woohoo! Her novel is taking off, and PLEASE READ ON
